Conveniently situated between Durban and Pietermaritzburg, and 9km from the centre of Hillcrest, the allure of rural living at The Waters, where relaxation and discovery await, unfolds across 5 acres of land with ample places to explore. Quiet and secure, this retreat is conveniently located and offers accommodation in two individually fenced units that can be booked together or separately: The Waters Studio (which sleeps 3 people) and The Waters Cabin (which sleeps 3 people).

The studio apartment features a cozy setup with a double bed and a single bed, complemented by an en-suite bathroom equipped with a shower, toilet, and basin. Basic self-catering facilities are available in the kitchen, including a fridge, microwave, and essential cooking utensils. Guests can relax on the enclosed veranda. This fully fenced pet-friendly unit also has secure parking and solar power and a generator ensure uninterrupted electricity supply.
The Cabin, a charming 1-bedroom unit, boasts a double bed in the bedroom and an additional single bed in the living area. The bathroom features a shower, basin, and toilet for added convenience. Basic kitchen amenities such as a fridge, microwave, and toaster are provided. Outside, guests can unwind on the verandah and enjoy convenient parking next to the unit. The unit is fully fenced for pet owners's peace of mind. However, please note that the cabin does not have solar power or a generator, making it susceptible to power outages during load shedding.

SHONGWENI MARKET - Perched atop a hill in the scenic Shongweni Valley of KwaZulu-Natal, overlooking the majestic Kirk Falls, lies The Shongweni Farmers & Craft Market. Every Saturday morning, from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm, and on certain additional trading days as advertised, visitors can enjoy a leisurely drive through the picturesque cane fields to reach this bustling market. Here, local traders offer an array of goods, including fresh produce, deli items, food, crafts, and art. Adding to the vibrant atmosphere are talented musicians who entertain visitors weekly on two stages, enhancing the market's unique ambiance.
PET POLICY
We delight in hosting up to 4 dogs per booking, with no restrictions on breed or size. As our farm is home to free-roaming chickens and stabled horses, we kindly request that your dogs be comfortable with these animals and refrain from hunting our feathered friends. While we can't take responsibility for any mishaps with our friendly equine residents, we ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all. Feel free to explore our farm and nearby walking trails, and rest assured with enclosed gardens at the units. We do not have a pet fee, but damages to accommodations are the responsibility of pet owners and will be for their account.
