How can I determine whether my dog is considered small, medium, or large?
At HolidayDOG, we have chosen to streamline the search criteria on our website for simplicity's sake, resulting in two categories: Small and Large. Small dogs are defined as those weighing less than 25kg, while large dogs are those weighing 25kg or more. We have communicated this criteria to all the properties listed on our website, so when booking your stay, please ensure you adhere to these guidelines. To view all the accommodations that welcome large dogs, you can utilize our filtering system or click here for the updated list.
How can I share my experiences with you to be included in your monthly blog?
We are in the process of setting up an extensive HolidayK9 program in South Africa. Please share your social media handles and some suggestions of your previous work with us.
Will I pay more for my booking if I choose to book via HolidayDOG?
No, the cost is exactly the same, if not lower with special offers and discount codes. All listings are linked to their online booking systems, with no additional fees. When booking from HolidayDOG your booking and payment is as secure and with the same cost as when booking directly. Some properties even offer a discount code, so keep an eye out for this.
What is the difference between pet-friendly and pet-tolerant?
The terms "pet-friendly" and "pet-tolerant" are often used to describe accommodations that allow pets. While they may seem similar, there is an important distinction between the two.
Pet-friendly accommodations are establishments that actively welcome and cater to pets. They go above and beyond to create a comfortable and enjoyable experience for both pets and their owners. Pet-friendly accommodations often provide amenities such as designated pet areas, pet beds, bowls, and even additional services like pet sitting or grooming. These establishments genuinely embrace pets as part of their customer base and strive to meet their needs.
On the other hand, pet-tolerant accommodations are establishments that have some degree of acceptance towards pets, but their level of dedication to creating a pet-friendly environment may be limited.
When choosing properties to list on HolidayDOG, we conducted interviews or HolidayK9 inspections to make sure that properties love the idea of welcoming pets as much as humans and could share in the idea of conscious pet-parenting and an animal as an extended family member.
