Formerly a fishing cottage, The Oaks now sits amidst ancient oak trees in a secluded garden, perfect for families with children and dogs seeking a safe environment for adventure. Featuring a shaded pergola for al fresco dining and a cozy fireplace for winter warmth, this getaway combines rustic charm with modern comforts. The recent addition of a courtyard deck boasting a KolKol wood-fired hot tub enhances the experience, offering stargazing nights and refreshing dips on warm days.
The cottage sleeps 10 comfortably (6 adults and 4 children) in three double rooms and one bunk room for kids, and is serviced daily by a housekeeper. The kitchen is fully equipped and additional outdoor cooking facilities include a braai, fire pit and pizza oven.

If venturing out beyond the property is on your agenda, Dullstroom is approximately an hour away, offering additional opportunities for adventure. However, many of our guests prefer to relax and unwind on our picturesque farm, choosing to enjoy the tranquillity in the company of their beloved pets.
PET POLICY
At The Oaks, there is no limit to the number or size of dogs that you can bring on your pet-friendly holiday. This accommodation boasts a sizeable, fenced garden.
As you relish in the beauty of the outdoors, it's possible to come across cows, people or other small animals walking past the cottages while monkeys may visit the garden occasionally to forage for bugs on the lawn. Although monkeys are not aggressive, you can be sure that they are wary of all dogs and prefer staying on the trees. Our housekeeping staff comes daily and are excellent with dogs. However, it would be helpful if you could inform us in advance if your dogs are wary of new people, require an introduction, or have any special needs.
Just remember that they are an extension of your family and therefore you're responsible for their behaviour. Any damage to property may be charged for.
